Zara d'Archambaud

Zara d'Archambaud, Headteacher

I joined Garsington CE Primary School as Headteacher in September 2015. I am a member of all the governor sub committees.

Previous to joining Garsington, I was Headteacher at a city Primary School for over 10 years. I am committed to working closely with staff, governors, pupils and parents to make sure that Garsington provides an excellent standard of education for all our pupils. The Garsington school values (belonging, respect, trust, fairness and enjoyment) are fundamental to everything we do at school. We strive to make sure pupils are happy learners who are motivated to achieve the best they can. I am passionate about pupils being fully involved in the learning process and being independent learners, use their initiative and love the challenge of learning.

Being a governor means that I can support the school to provide the best outcomes for our pupils. As governors we look at the strategic direction of the school in line with its vision and values.

I live in Headington with my husband and two children. My daughter is at secondary school and my son is currently in Year 6. My interests including karate, walking and reading.
