Jamie Clark
Parent Governor

Hello, I am Jamie (Jim) Clark, and I am the father of 2 daughters one of whom is still at Garsington School.  We have lived in the village for many years, and as a family we have supported school and village activities ranging from helping with the village fete, through various sporting events, to the Oxford Big Sing at Christmas time.

I became a governor at Easter 2018. I had considered putting myself forward previously, but now I have the time to take on the responsibility and dedication such a position deserves.

My academic background is in Physics, and over the years this has taken me to many interesting and exciting places around the world. I have worked with people from many different countries and cultures, including living in Tokyo for several months, to working with world leading facilities such as Stanford Laboratories in San Francisco and CERN in Switzerland.

Physics trains you to observe, study and make fact-based conclusions, something I believe will be very helpful in the role as a governor. Another important skill I have is being very practical. I have completed may construction projects, and I am sure the knowledge I have built up in this area which are very useful around the school facilities.

Thank you for your time, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to come over and have a chat with me. I find everything is best discussed over a cup of tea.
