Festival of Voices

On Friday 23rd of June 2017 Garsington's school choir will be performing as part of the 34th Oxfordshire Festival of Voices at Dorcester Abbey.

Those children taking part will have received a parentmail. Please ensure you have confirmed your child can attend and have specified how many tickets you would like.

Last year our choir joined pupils from Botley, Charlton, Checkendon, Ewelme, Harwell, North Hinksey, Our Lady's and Watlington primary schools to sing a programme of 17 songs including old favourites such as Bare necessities, Food, glorious food and My favourite things, some traditional pieces from Brazil and South Africa, all culminating with the stirring World in union that didn't leave a dry eye in the house!

Well done to all those who took part, and thank you to all the parents and staff (especially Mrs Bruce) who made the event possible.

Oxfordshire's Festival of Voices has grown from just two concerts in Oxford Town Hall in 1984 to an annual week of five performances at the amazingly beautiful abbey at Dorchester. The Festival has contributed over £52,000 to the charity Save the Children.
